The K-II is a single axis instrument, meaning that magnetic fields will be detected only in the horizontal or
vertical axis depending on the orientation of the instrument by the operator. This device will only detect
fluctuating electromagnetic fields. For example a stationary magnet cannot be detected because the
magnet is not inducing a voltage in the sensing coil of the instrument.
I keep this around primarily to keep tabs on any electrical devices in the area that may be pumping out a
strong and changing electromagnetic field. There are theories that these fields, if they are strong enough
can effect the brain in such a way that the person under the effect of such a field may experience
sensations described as paranormal phenomena.
THIS IS NOT A GHOST DETECTOR! (I really wish it were!)
