Typically I will run this recorder in a stationary location on an investigation. Whenever possible i will place it in a
location where it will be exposed to as much of the audio environment as possible not so much for the purpose of
recording EVP's but to use as a reference should another recorder at the site pick up something questionable.
One drawback to this device is the fairly high level of hiss that comes through the recording even in HQ mode or with a
microphone. It just seems to be the nature of the beast.
Still, its a decent and inexpensive recorder.
